Opus 271 - Some Cute Pics

Opus 270 - Watching for Grandpa

Because we are a one car family, and because I have the car on the days I work, Jason gets a ride with Grandma or Grandpa those days. The kids LOVE seeing them! They really missed them during Christmas break when Daddy could use the car every day. One day they went the window and started watching and calling for Grandpa:

Opus 269 - Cocoa Party

One of Lissa's Christmas presents was a tea set (we call it her cocoa set since Mama loves hot chocolate). Lissa likes it, but gets bored with the pretend play fairly quickly... I can just hear her thinking, "There's no real cocoa in here! Lame!" Joshua, on the other hand, is really good at pretend play. He loves to play with the cocoa set. I can just see my brothers dying as they read this. Never fear, he has not become all girl. As a matter of fact, the other day he had a cocoa party for his cars - LOL!! I suppose that's one of the hazards of having a twin sister.

Opus 268 - Slippers

The kids love their slippers:

Opus 267 - Cars, Cars, and More Cars

I think it's safe to say that Joshua LOVES cars. If we'd let him, he'd sleep with cars every night. Actually, he used to have Lightning McQueen PJ's that he loved. Unfortunately, he could easily get them off at night, so those are no longer in use :) Naturally, being around a car fan can be quite contagious. Although her favorite "toys" are puzzles and books, Lissa also enjoys cars.

Reading their Cars books:

One day Daddy decided to help them make little carports for their cars:

They must be close at all times:

A short video of Joshua telling us about cars:

For Christmas, Aunt Lissa gave Joshua a truck and a shirt with a picture of a truck on it.
Joshua loves them and calls them "Mack" (from the movie, of course):
