Lissa and Joshua are currently in one of those awkward stages of life - they're almost a year old so they're not really babies anymore, but they're not toddlers yet. It's kind of like preteens... not teenagers, but not little kids...
The kids really want to be "big kids." They will no longer eat baby food - they want "big kid" food and will spit out anything that resembles baby food. But they still LOVE their bottles (giving those up will be a very sad day for them!).
So I'm trying to decide what to call them. They're not babies. They're not toddlers. I'm thinking of some mixture of the two words, something like what they have done with preteens (tweens)... proddlers, twoddlers, prods, twods... This may take me awhile. Sadly, by the time I've coined a term, they'll be toddlers - LOL :)
