Opus 235 - Lagoon

We got to go to Lagoon with Jason's company last Friday. I'll admit that I wasn't looking forward to it. I figured we'd spend most of our time trying to keep two kids happy while taking turns riding rides. When we first got there Jason and I each took a turn riding the newer roller coaster (good ride), then Jason went on another one, then we made an incredible discovery - Lissa and Joshua are big enough to ride a lot of kid rides! Yeah! We ended up spending the rest of the night in the kid area and had a great time.

Lissa and Joshua LOVED being big kids and riding on everything they could. They have a ride called Kontiki that's a kids' version of a tidal wave boat. The kids especially liked it. The second time we rode it there were some bigger kids in front of us who kept raising their hands above their heads. Lissa decided she was a big kid too and kept doing the same thing. It was adorable.

This is the first ride they tried. They didn't enjoy waiting for it to start, but they were happy as can be when it finally got going.

Look how big they are! They're driving their own car!

After we put the kids in the boat and went out to watch Jason commented that we forgot to show them how to ring the bell. Lissa had no problem figuring that out on her own :)

Although Lissa doesn't look too happy in this picture, both kids enjoyed riding the carousel.

This picture isn't very good, but it does prove that there were some smiles on the ride!
(I just noticed that Joshua doesn't look too happy in this one, oh well)

Enjoying some ice cream after a long evening of playing.
