The morning after we went to Lagoon, we went up to the This Is The Place Monument and Heritage Park for the dedication of a monument depicting one of Jason's ancestors, Israel Barlow. There were over 500 Barlows in attendance! The monument that was dedicated is a replica of the one that is in Nauvoo.
We missed most of the speakers since Lissa and Joshua preferred to spend their time playing with the little houses (they have a great play area with 5 or 6 tiny houses that are the perfect size for little kids). After the dedication, we enjoyed a relaxing (ha!) lunch at the base of the This Is The Place Monument.
Lissa and Joshua now have two ancestors on monuments there. (My ancestor, Joseph Matthews, is on the This Is The Place Monument.) What lucky kids!

One of the kids' favorite things to do is push the stroller around.
Someone commented that they were connecting to their pioneer roots - instead of pushing a handcart, they were pushing a stroller.
