Here's a picture of our little thumb sucker. After much consideration, I've decided I'm okay with the thumb sucking thing. I've heard too many conflicting stories about what happens when kids suck their thumb - people either adamently argue that the kid will end up with mouth problems, or they adamently argue that they won't. Joshua is happy to take the pacifier, but once he loses it he sticks in the thumb and there's no stopping him. If he's swaddled in bed, he'll work his little arm out to get the thumb once he loses the pacifier. I figure he's a good problem solver. It's a lot easier having him solve his own problems instead of yelling at us to get his pacifier back in his mouth (like a certain sister of his).
