We love our bouncy seats. They were gifts from the ladies at Mt. Nebo Junior High and have been perfect for our kids. They love to sit in them and are finally starting to actually play with the toys. Unfortunately, Joshua has decided it's fun to plant his little feet, arch his back, and push as hard as he can - almost pushing himself right out of the bouncer! He also grabs the toys and tries to pull himself up and out. What a kid :) We decided it was time to find a new seat, bummer.
Fortunately, we heard about the Bumbo seat. We found a great sale (30% off) and bought one for each baby. When they came yesterday evening, we immediately put the babies in.
Lissa seems to really like her Bumbo. She sat right up with this look that said, "Look at me! I'm so cool - I can sit up by myself!"
Joshua, on the other hand, struggled a bit. The poor kid has such a big head that he has a hard time keeping it up!
I guess we'll have to keep working on strengthening his neck muscles before we do too much with the Bumbo. If anyone else has a Bumbo, has had the same problem with their child, and has any advice/stories/suggestions, I'd love to hear from you!
Whomever thought up the idea of bumbos is genius! I love the kids in these. Lissa is just chillin like she always does. While Josh's poor big head...he he. But he's growing into it!
